ABOUT US
Our Mission Statement

Angels in the Attic, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
Whose goals are to serve and meet individual needs in our
community without bias or discrimination.

Local Grass Roots Non-Profit

We meet with our clients to determine their needs and develop goals with them that are attainable and self-directed. Our programs allow us to meet immediate needs, but also offer ongoing support and education.

These programs are funded through the sale of donated items to our thrift-store, grants, and monetary donations from individuals, churches and civic organizations in our community and the surrounding area.

Making a Difference

It is true that one person can change many lives. Angel's in the Attic, Inc. was funded by one person who wanted to make a difference in Cowley County. That original donation has seen our programs grow every year. In 2015 our Cowley County Santa's Kids program served 279 children. In 2020 with the help from KanPak, the program served 1,079 children. Angel's in the Attic, Inc. provides food through our pantry and the TEFAP commodity program. We provide clothing and household items to individuals and families in need through the Angel Closet. The Angels Closet is supported through the Good360 program and the United Way GIVE Warehouse. We work with area agencies to provide prescription and other financial needs. We provide Back to School supplies and new coats through the Warm Coats/Happy Hearts program. We provide rental and utility assistance through the CAN Form (Community Action Network) program. This program unites area churches and organizations together to help support more families. We provide healthy cooking classes with K-State Research Extension. We provide a computer center for individuals to use for job searches and resume writing. We have a Birthday in a Box for families. The box contains a cake mix, decorations and toys.

None of these programs would be possible without the continued support from our community. Grants through The Legacy Foundation, Power of the Purse, WalMart and United Way of the Plains are key supporters of what we do.

Donations and support from local businesses, churches and individuals in our community are the true Angels behind the Attic.
